The Class 1 Local Delivery Driver will be responsible for covering delivery shifts out of Nanaimo.
Starting rate of $34.89 with potential to go to a top rate of $40.75 per hour after completing 12 months
- Performance incentives available after 3 months
- Medical Dental Prescription Drug and EAP Benefits after 30 days of employment
- Pay for performance incentive program after 3 months
- Local routes -- guaranteed to be home every day!
- Responsibilities include correctly offloading products recording delivery information accepting payment for goods when required and ensuring operational vehicle safety in all aspects. The Delivery Service Representative is expected to operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times obeying all rules and regulations of the road and following all appropriate company policies and procedures.
Valid Class 1 drivers license and a clean drivers abstract
Eligibility for bonding and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certification
Excellent customer service skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic able to work with little supervision and be self-directed
High School Diploma or equivalent
Availability for nights and weekends
