We are searching for a Dietary Aide to join our Glasgow Hall team based in Dartmouth Nova Scotia .

Consistently ensures food quality presentation and service delivery meet established department standards. Follows production sheets to guide food preparation and assist with cost control
Stays up to date with the specific needs of each resident e.g. diet restrictions allergies and special requests/accommodations.
Stays up to date with daily changes related to menus and/or residents.
Makes sure that the Servery and dining room appearance meets set standards for cleanliness organization and set up prior to meal service.
Immediately reports any equipment temperature issues to manager and takes corrective action as necessary.
Ensures kitchen appearance meets established standards for cleanliness and organization
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement collaboration and accountability you bring:
A high-school diploma or GED
Proof of Food Safety Certification required
Experience in a kitchen setting is considered an asset.
Previous experience in working with the elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment considered an asset
Bilingualism in English and French considered an asset
First Aid and CPR certification considered an asset
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts (including weekends and holidays)
Strong customer service skills and a passion for serving seniors
Experience in the culinary field and are familiar with preparing plates for clients
A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations services and care
