Planning And Development Assistant

The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of Economic Development Assistant (Term) . This position is responsible for assisting with project work and special event planning/ logistics through the provision of a variety of administrative, clerical, and project support duties.
Assist in the planning and execution of the M.SiteLink Conference including duties such as supplier procurement, cultural programming, arranging of tours and catering, developing, and executing technical set-up, guest service and other event support.
Provide strong and timely administrative support including communication of event details both internally and externally, tracking of budgets and assisting with the completion of reports and summaries as required.
Create, review, and edit documents and correspondence for accuracy and grammar.
Draft and develop project specific agendas, correspondence, itineraries, and collateral materials.
Update and maintain the municipal online business directory and associated reports.
· Support scheduling of local business community visits.
~ The minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, however post-secondary education is preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a relevant field or administrative support is considered an asset.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle public inquiries.
Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work well on a team or with minimal supervision.
Valid Class 5 driver's license in good standing.
