Expected Salary Range : $42.67 - $54.45 Hourly
The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. Days/Shifts: 40 hours per week, evening shift (Monday-Thursday evening shift (2:30pm to 12:30am).
The Fleet Mechanic inspects, repairs, and maintains automotive, mobile, hydraulic, portable, and stationary equipment.
Toronto Hydro reserves the right, in alignment with the applicable collective agreement, to finalize the number of positions filled.
Conducts and/or directs work in a manner that is sensitive to customer and public needs
Performs inspections and tests on vehicles and equipment and completes documentation as required
Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs to vehicles and equipment as required
Uses gas and electric welding equipment for repair work and fabrications
Processes work orders and inspection forms as required
Initiate, receive and satisfy inquiries or complaints by telephone, in person or by correspondence
Performs duties of equal or lower classification providing they are within their experience and training, Operates vehicle and associated equipment
Must possess a Truck and Coach Technician Certificate (310T)
Automotive Service Technician Certificate (310S) preferred
Demonstrated experience in a variety of business computer software packages
Proficiency using diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Ability to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on engine systems
Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service data
