The Machine Operator - Edgebander is responsible for creating quality parts produced on CNC machines such as but not limited to lathes and milling machines and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. Responsibilities will include loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
This role offers opportunities for growth, cross-training, and advancement.
Set up, program, and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines.
Load and unload completed parts from machinery manually.
Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products.
General production shop duties are required from time to time.
Basic computer knowledge.
- Provide a high level of attention to detail English reading, writing, communication, and math skills.
- Previous cabinetry and carpentry experience is an asset.
- Excellent problem solving, decision-making, critical thinking, task planning, and organizing skills.
