Postal Clerk (Evening shift)

Working Title: Evening Shift Mail Clerk, TD- Creekside, Mississauga, ON
Employment Status: Full-Time
Starting Hourly Rate: $17.60 per hour
The salary range represents Compass Group Canada’s pay grade range for this position in the primary work location. ESFM is the corporate Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) division of Compass Group Canada operating in the business & industry sector. Along with providing IFM services to the Canadian Headquarters of several multi-national businesses, ESFM’s list of clients include household names in the Telecommunications, Entertainment, Pharmaceutical, Gas & Oil, Food Processing and Automotive markets.

The Evening Shift Mail Clerk should have exceptional customer service literacy skills. In addition, this role will be responsible for receiving and sorting all incoming mail to distribute to other departments or individuals as well as respond to inbound calls and emails received in the general Mailroom Inbox.

There may be a requirement for extended hours depending on workload and or special projects

Sign for, record and direct all incoming Canada Post and courier deliveries · Deliver, slot, pick up and sort all incoming and outgoing mail · Process internal and external mass mailings · Receive incoming couriers and notify intended recipient(s) as soon as possible · Calculate and affix proper postage to all outgoing mail and parcels · Maintain accurate records of urgent business mail delivery · Ensure all lookups mail are processed, counted and logged · Work in conjunction with supervisor to formulate process improvements for the mailroom · Notify individual staff by e-mail or telephone of larger boxes and deliveries · Distribute supplies to clients within the floors · Process Registered Mail and drop off to Canada Depot via Shoppers Drug Mart · Other duties as required Skills/Qualifications: · Completion of secondary school and basic math skills · 6 months - 1-year prior experience in customer service/office services/mailroom · Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel · Knowledge and experience using postage metering machine, UPS Connect, and Purolator shipping systems asset · Strong communication and customer service skills · Proven ability to multitask, work independently, and set priorities · Able to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis
