CHARGÉ de FINANCES et COMPTABILITÉ (audit et contrôle) H/F

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team in Toronto or New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with 4+ years of post-qualification experience ( ACA/ACCA/CPA) and a background in business services, audit, or corporate accounting who is looking to step into a fast moving, dynamic, global environment for a high growth business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, preparing accurate financial statements, maintaining robust controls, and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions with a particular focus on our North and South American entities and operations .

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany balances, and fixed assets.
Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled and supporting schedules are complete.
Prepare monthly management accounts and assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with UK GAAP and US GAAP where applicable.
Assist in the preparation of VAT, payroll, and other statutory filings, ensuring timely submission and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Work closely with auditors by preparing audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to queries.
Ensure strong financial controls are maintained and continuously improved within the accounting process.
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes and improve efficiency within the finance function.
Collaborate with the wider finance and operations teams to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA) with 2-5yrs years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
Background in business services, audit, or corporate accounting.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, statutory reporting, and control frameworks.
Experience preparing or assisting with consolidated accounts and management reporting.
Working knowledge or exposure to US tax, LATAM accounting regulations, and international reporting standards is advantageous.
Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis.
Proactive, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
