Cleaning janitor

Ensures the general upkeep of the facility such as cleaning floors washrooms windows dusting collects and disposes of garbage vacuums
Checks cleans moves arranges and dusts furniture as required
Ensures the general upkeep of external property such as mowing lawns keeping sidewalks clear of snow and ice cleaning main floor outside windows picking up litter sweeping sidewalks gardening/watering and pruning shrubs raking
Checks doors and windows to ensure building security
Reports safety concerns and repair issues (ie: furniture and fixtures)
The successful job applicant will have completed Public School.

Up to three months of prior related experience including previous cleaning experience and familiarity with cleaning supplies and procedures.

The performance of the job requires frequently operating industrial cleaning equipment and tools mopping/sweeping bending/twisting/lifting shovelling snow etc.

The performance of the job requires moderate to high attention when using motorized equipment handling hazardous chemicals and using non-motorized equipment and general cleaning.

The incumbents work environment is typically in the entire facility and surrounding property designated.

The job incumbent may be exposed to the risk of moderate to severe injury or illnesses due to:

Exposure to toxic chemicals (e.g. toxic spills)
Electrical hazards

Child Abuse Registry Check

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
