Administrative Assistant / HR Generalist (Part Time)

We're a startup founded by Samson Mow, who is best known for his work with El Salvador's Bitcoin initiatives, and his efforts in nation-state Bitcoin adoption around the world. We are seeking a motivated Administrative and HR Associate for a full-time contract position to join our team. You will be responsible for handling administrative tasks such as managing the team's schedule and handling correspondence. Additionally, you will manage Human Resource responsibilities, including creating s and postings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews. This role is hybrid, requiring you to work onsite in Victoria, BC, at least half of the week, with the flexibility to manage the remainder of your work activities independently in a remote setting. Please note that this is a unfixed term contract position and not local employment.
Administrative responsibilities
Manage scheduling, including coordinating meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for team members and ensure schedules are updated and communicated effectively
Handle emails and correspondence, including responding to inquiries and managing incoming and outgoing mail and shipment
Perform general administrative tasks, such as filling and maintaining records
Maintain an organized and clean office environment
Take on project management tasks as needed and assist with special projects
HR responsibilities
1 year+ working experience as Administrative assistant or/and in Human resource
- Basic understanding of Bitcoin would be an asset
- Experience in using project management tools for tracking tasks and progress
- Strong independency to manage own work activities
