The Wellfield Geologists provide technical and geological oversight in support of wellfield drilling, completions, and operations. This role is responsible for real-time geological monitoring, data collection and interpretation, QA/QC oversight, and contributing to wellfield development planning. Initially based in Saskatoon, the role will transition to a rotational, site-based position at a remote field camp. The Wellfield Geologists work closely with the Wellfield Manager to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This is a rotational, site-based role based in Northern Saskatchewan.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support freeze and wellfield drilling and completions programs in accordance with approved designs and criteria
Monitor geological conditions during drilling, determine casing points and completion intervals, and log core, samples, and assay data
Interpret drilling data to confirm targets, identify anomalies, and provide technical guidance to operations
Contribute to drilling program design, wellfield development planning, and updates to grade control models and production forecasts
Support well performance evaluations, workovers, and stimulation activities as required
Liaise with site and corporate teams to support wellfield operations and reporting
Ensure compliance with healthy, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
You are a technically strong, field-oriented geologist with hands-on drilling experience and a solid understanding of wellfield development in a mineral resources environment. You are comfortable working in dynamic operational settings and providing real-time geological interpretation to support decision-making. Additionally, you bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3+ years of field geology experience, preferably in uranium, ISR mining, or mineral exploration
- Experience with mud-rotary and/or diamond drilling
- Strong geological logging, structural interpretation, and data analysis skills
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes and grade control practices
- Proficiency with MS Office and geological data management systems
- Strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate across technical and operations teams
- A demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance
