What You Can Expect This role is based in our Canadian Corporate Distribution Center. We are looking to add a versatile team member that can support all of our Distribution functions with a focus on stock put-away and picking while working in a fast-paced environment.
How You'll Create Impact The primary responsibility of the position is to perform inventory re-conciliation and trouble shoot inventory related issues.
Use the 5 why's approach to solve inventory related discrepancies.
Look at the open ASN report, follow a systematic path to find the inventory and reconcile it against the open ASN
Reconcile the shipping extras and place the items back to its proper location.
Co-ordinate with customer-service team to release orders stuck due to blocked location.
Look at the off-site inventory, reconcile it from time to time.
Help the logistics specialist in their role from time to time as requested.
Understanding of all systems associated with the distribution functions
Customer focused
Prior experience with inventory is a plus.
High school diploma (or equivalent) required plus 2-4 years of experience in a distribution warehouse environment
Formal education in supply chain is desirable but not a pre-requisite for the job.
Experience in an automated distribution environment
Experience in any of the receiving/stocking/picking/shipping functions of a distribution function
Experience in operation of a narrow aisle reach truck
Travel Expectations Less than 5%
