Claims Specialist, Casualty
Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of casualty claims?
As a Claims Specialist, you will be at the helm of managing high-severity and complex casualty claims, including those in litigation. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring fair and efficient resolutions, conducting comprehensive file reviews, and mentoring junior claims handlers. Your contributions will directly shape the future of our claims operations and drive our success.
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and successfully resolve complex Casualty claims
Provide precise direction to legal counsel on litigated claims ensuring a positive outcome
Effectively manage claim costs using strategic oversight, identifying cost-savings opportunities in alignment with operational and financial goals
Actively mentor junior and intermediate level adjusters with a focus on technical skill development, while delivering constructive feedback to assist in building a high-performing team
Support special projects as needed
Prior experience in mentoring and technical evaluation
CIP, FCIP or CRM designations an asset
Proficient in investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement of claims
Travel may be required
