We are an ambitious organization poised for public listing and market expansion seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Corporate Controller to join our finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will own the integrity of the financial reporting function and serve as a key business partner as we scale rapidly. This is a critical hire for a company that is executing on an ambitious growth agenda — through organic expansion, M&A activity, and entry into new markets. ~ Financial Reporting & Controls

Lead all aspects of quarterly and annual public company reporting, including SEDAR+ filings and coordination with external auditors.

Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in compliance with National Instrument 52-109 (CEO/CFO certification requirements).

drive continuous improvement of the monthly and quarterly close cycle.

Manage the relationship with external auditors and oversee the annual audit and quarterly reporting processes.

Technical Accounting & Policy

Serve as the company's primary technical accounting resource; research and advise on complex accounting matters

Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and policy changes.

Develop, maintain, and communicate accounting policies across the organization.

Support due diligence, purchase price allocation, and post-acquisition integration for M&A transactions.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team; Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Operations to support business objectives.

Systems & Process Improvement

Champion technology adoption to support the finance function's ability to scale with the business.

Identify and remediate control gaps; implement best practices as the company evolves from growth-stage to enterprise-scale.

Regulatory & Governance

Support the Audit Committee and Board with timely, accurate financial reporting packages and analysis.

Coordinate with legal counsel on securities law compliance and disclosure obligations under applicable TSX and Canadian securities regulations.

Manage tax provision processes in collaboration with the Tax team.

CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA — legacy designations accepted) with 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a public company environment with direct IFRS reporting and SEDAR+ filing experience.

Deep technical knowledge of IFRS and Canadian public company reporting requirements (NI 52-109, NI 51-102).

Demonstrated experience managing and developing accounting teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Experience with external audit management.

Strong ERP proficiency (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent).

Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) background, ideally with an assurance or transaction advisory focus.

Prior exposure to M&A activity including financial due diligence and post-acquisition accounting.

IPO readiness, TSX uplisting, or high-growth phases post-public listing).

Experience in technology, pharmacy, life sciences, is an asset
