Truck Mechanic Supervisor Location Brampton, ON : Grow your career with Remco! A leader in the warehousing & distribution industry as a Truck Mechanic Supervisor . Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure and maintain the proper functioning of all vehicles in the fleet and ensure the proper maintenance of all vehicles.
Oversee and monitor the mechanics in their daily routines and workload.
Responsible coaching and counseling on poor performance and conducting performance reviews annually.
Ensure all vehicles conform to the safety laws set out by the government and company standards.
To ensure that information such as copies of old registrations, new registrations, sales contracts and safety inspections is submitted to accounts payable so that the fleet files can be kept current.
Maintain up to date listing (inventory control) on all vehicles - trucks, tractors and trailers
Update all equipment and tools inventory lists perpetually and ensure all tools are accounted for.
Utilize the fleet software program to manage all aspects of parts, labor and the fleet.
Make sure the proper maintenance and control of all inventories in the garage.
Ensure all damaged trucks, tractors and trailers are taken out of service.
Ensure all parts are delivered on time or make applicable arrangements to ensure timely delivery
Make sure all equipment maintenance is performed per regulation. e. Emissions testing and licensing
Coordinate annual safety inspections when required, as well as A and B checks. Follow up on repairs as necessary.
Requirements:
- 3-5 Year of previous experience as a Truck Mechanic Foreman/Supervisor is required
- 310 T or 310 J - Truck Mechanic license is required
- Must have experience as a truck mechanic
- Must be comfortable performing repairs when required and checking the mechanics work for quality assurance
- Experience managing a shop with Company owned fleet would be an asset
- Extensive Health and Safety guidelines and regulations an asset.
