Job Responsibility:
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with sheet metal, including fabrication, installation, and repair. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety standards. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality workmanship in various projects.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
Install sheet metal products in various settings, including commercial and residential buildings.
Perform repairs and modifications on existing sheet metal installations.
Utilize hand tools and machinery safely and effectively for cutting, bending, and shaping metal.
Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely project completion.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and tools.
Ability to operate machinery such as shears, brakes, and plasma cutters.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
Familiarity with safety regulations related to sheet metal work is essential.
Certification or training in HVAC systems or related fields is a plus.
