GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER (F/M)

AECOM is actively seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Specialist in Burnaby BC with extensive experience in geotechnical earthquake engineering probabilistic seismic hazard analysis liquefaction analysis and dynamic analysis. The candidate is expected to have extensive experience in the design and construction of shallow and deep foundations retaining structures embankments railways highways and airports excavation support systems tunnels trenchless and ground improvement methods (stone columns soil mixing etc.). The successful candidate will have opportunity to work on major transportation water resources marine civil infrastructure and building projects. This is a Full-time role.

Bachelors in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.

• 4 years of relevant experience in geotechnical geological and geotechnical earthquake engineering.
• Preferred Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering from CEAB-accredited institution.
• 8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering on complex multidisciplinary project.
• Experience with and ability to make informed decisions regarding intrusive and non-intrusive field investigations basic and advanced laboratory testing and material characterization.
• Experience with conceptual and feasibility level design preliminary design detailed design construction and site closure.
• Experience with field investigation techniques such as CPT SPT PMT DMT and their utilization in the static and seismic design.
