The proudly independent digital-only Village Media network is searching for a talented Editor to fill a full-time position in Oshawa!
You have excellent news judgment and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are committed to understanding the community you serve and the issues it faces and to guiding your newsroom to confront those issues through a solutions journalism approach.

To start you have a bachelors degree or diploma in Journalism or a related field. You have exceptional writing and editing skills and a thorough knowledge of CP style. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with those inside our Village and within the communities we serve. Familiarity with the Durham Region is a strong asset.

Guide and develop a skilled team of writers and editors
Ensure all content is impeccable and exercise excellent editorial judgment
Demonstrate comprehensive community coverage

The successful candidate must live in or near Oshawa Ontario.
