Senior Accounting Supervisor

The Senior Accountant is responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, bank reconciliations, US tax compliance and filings, and all month-end closing activities. They will work closely with Accounting Manager, banks, and external accountants to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient operations.
Manage period end process, including review of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and more
Review reconciliation of accounts on a monthly and annual basis, review of balance sheet accounts and schedules, including multiple intercompany accounts
Manage, track, and reconcile customer rebate programs, including monitoring outstanding rebate balances
Manage various statutory reporting requirements, tax filings and US tax compliance
Heavily involved in year-end audit activities, liaison with external auditors
Prepare weekly cash flow forecast
Maintain monthly checklists, procedures, controls, and signoffs
Assist in continuous improvement activities
Assist in bookkeeping of other group entities as necessary
Minimum of 2 years in Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller capacity preferably in a deadline driven environment
ERP experience is an asset; solid knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excellent interpersonal and superior communication skills, both orally and in writing
Strong knowledge of Canadian & US GAAP and full cycle accounting
