Financing product support distressed Credits and Tax Equity Specialist Location Hybrid remote in Montréal, QC : FINANCING PRODUCT SUPPORT DISTRESSED CREDITS AND TAX EQUITY SPECIALIST (JOB NUMBER: We are a dynamic and growing organization having its main establishment located in downtown Montreal and part of a leading international banking institution fully committed to building a more sustainable future. Part of Credit & Portfolio Management Americas, Loan Transaction Support (LTC) is a transversal team serving the CIB Americas Corporate Platform with focus on three key missions:
Serve as the first level of control to safeguard the Bank by applying effective, accurate and timely controls to address regulatory, compliance, operational and credit risks
Provide client service and transaction execution support to facilitate best-in-class solutions for our clients
Perform tasks requiring situational banker support, complex transaction management, and specialized sector knowledge
Support the Bank's asset workout team (Value Preservation Group) on the Bank's distressed asset portfolio and restructuring activities
Work with Accounting Norm, Finance, and Operations on the closing of restructurings, including the accounting treatment and workaround solutions to accommodate bookings of unique transactions
Manage the Bank's provision tool (MIRO) and provide guidance on the accounting requirements and provisioning methodology.
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for various credit and regulatory topics for distressed credits
Perform GRR back-testing for doubtful files
Provide middle office support for tax equity portfolio, including participating in New Activity Committee/Transaction Approval Committees and working with Accounting Norms, Finance and Operations to develop operational framework
Update valuation models for tax equity investments on a quarterly basis and provide MTM changes to Finance
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
BS or MBA degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields

• Knowledge of the financial/banking industry
• Audit and/or Consulting background, a plus
• IFRS Accounting knowledge
• Able to express technical and business concepts orally and in writing
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge in English is required
