Position Overview Torus Talent is supporting a growing engineering consultancy in their search for a Civil / Structural Engineer to join their Prince George-based team.
This is a growth-oriented opportunity offering exposure to a diverse mix of structural engineering projects across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors. The role provides a strong balance between office-based design work and field exposure, allowing the successful candidate to develop into a well-rounded consulting engineer.
You will work closely with senior engineers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to support structural design, project coordination, and construction execution. Support structural design across steel, concrete, and wood-frame structures
- Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and design development
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Conduct field reviews, site inspections, and provide on-site support to trades and contractors
- Produce field reports and verify measurements during construction
- Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and documentation
- Contribute to project budgeting and cost tracking
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 2+ years of structural engineering experience
- EIT or P.Experience designing steel, concrete, and/or wood-frame structures
- Comfortable working in both office and field environments
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and structural analysis software
