Heavy construction-equipment operator

Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to project specifications and safety regulations.
Excavate, move, grade, and compact earth, gravel, and other materials for road foundations and surfaces.
Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.
Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels, lubricating, and reporting mechanical issues.
Collaborate with other crew members to ensure proper sequencing of operations and completion of tasks.
Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with crew members.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to heavy equipment operation and road construction.
Previous construction and operating experience will be considered an asset

• Comfortable with working outdoors, in extreme weather conditions, and in a noisy and dusty environment
• Experience operating paving equipment
• Ability to perform manual labour and lift up to 50 lbs./Compensation Data

$25-$30 per hour
