Starting Wage: $18 - $20 per hour
The Native Addictions Council of Manitoba is an Indigenous-owned and operated treatment centre that directly targets the chemical dependency and compulsion challenging Indigenous Peoples in Manitoba and throughout Canada. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for all visitors, Relatives, and callers at NACM via telephone and visitor protocol. The Receptionist is responsible for handling front-desk operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring smooth communication throughout the organization. The Receptionist greets our community and must be friendly, personable, kind, and organized.
Front Desk & Visitor Support: Greet Relatives, visitors, staff, and community partners with warmth and professionalism. Answer incoming phone calls, direct visitors to appropriate staff or service area, and respond to general inquiries via email, phone or in-person, providing accurate information.

  • Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, book meeting rooms, photocopying, data entry, and general support with meetings and events. Monitor office inventory and place orders as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion with respect to Relatives’ identities, personal information, and organizational matters. Safety & Facility Support: Monitor those who enter and exit the facility to ensure safety and security. Support safety protocols such as fire drills, emergency communication, and visitor logs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-Secondary or additional administrative training or certifications are an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in reception, or administrative support roles is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 365.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement with minimal supervision.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector and Child & Adult Abuse Registry Checks.
