Structural Analysis engineer

Transmission, Distribution and Renewable Energies - Engineering Services Canada. The Transmission, Distribution and Renewable Energies group specializes in the efficient and cost-effective execution of electricity transmission and distribution (T&D) projects-from project conceptualization to engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Establish the design criteria related to the assigned discipline based on specified contractual requirements and in accordance with engineering best practices.
Carry out the design of structural works, including buildings, structures, and foundations.
Prepare the required engineering calculations, have them checked, approved and archived in accordance with current quality system procedures.
Write technical specifications and oversee the preparation of drawings.
Prepare proposals, feasibility studies, preliminary designs, engineering estimates, and schedules.
Collaborate with the project team across all project phases, from preliminary design to detailed design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
Perform conceptual reviews and peer reviews of engineering designs, drawings, and reports.

Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in computer-aided design of civil and structural engineering infrastructure.
Industry professional with experience in power transmission and distribution facilities, renewable energy plants, and heavy industrial installations.
Extensive experience in the design of buildings, steel structures, concrete, masonry, architectural elements, and on-site civil works, in compliance with Canadian and U.S. design codes and standards, including analysis and design of foundations for heavy rotating equipment.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with STAAD.1, PCA software and MS Office suite.
Proficiency in Catia or Revit is considered an asset.
Proficiency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of French is considered an asset.
Experience in writing clear and comprehensive reports, technical notes and client presentations.
*This position requires proficiency in a language other than French, specifically English, since the clients and suppliers you will interact with are primarily English-speaking and located outside Quebec.
