HR Generalist
6-Month Contract | Fraser Valley, BC | CA$60,000 - CA$70,000/year Miles HR is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join a well-established, manufacturing company based in the Fraser Valley. This is a 6-month contract position covering a leave. The ideal candidate will bring broad HR generalist experience as the sole HR professional supporting a team of 100+ employees. Reporting to VP Operations, the HR Generalist will manage the full scope of day-to-day human resources operations, with a strong focus on recruitment and onboarding. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process and onboarding of new team members
Develop recruitment and retention strategies to maintain desired headcounts
Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and employment legislation
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and programs in accordance with BC employment standards, workers’ compensation, and OHS legislation
Maintain employee documentation including discipline letters, performance reviews, and leaves of absence
Coach employees and leaders on performance management, leadership, and collaboration
Manage employee records and status changes in ADP Workforce Now, including time-off coordination and payroll support
Perform a broad range of HR administrative duties including timesheet approvals, benefits administration, medical leave, and employment verification letters
Support leadership in building a culture of trust, openness, and accountability
Post-secondary education in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
Proven full-cycle recruitment experience at all levels
Flexibility to engage with employees across morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ADP Workforce Now experience is an asset
Reliable personal transportation required (location is not served by public transit)
CA$60,000 - CA$70,000/year (pro-rated for contract term)
