Plant Manager Manufacturing

We're working with a growing industrial manufacturing company seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at its manufacturing facility in Strathmore, AB. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day plant operations while driving productivity, operational efficiency, and team performance.
The Plant Manager will oversee a multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment that includes metal fabrication, welding, laser cutting, assembly, and distribution. Reporting to senior operations leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets, delivery timelines, and quality standards are consistently achieved while maintaining a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Lead daily plant operations including fabrication, welding, laser cutting, assembly, and distribution
Manage production scheduling, workflow coordination, and operational efficiency
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, cost control, and process efficiency
Develop and implement standard operating procedures and scalable manufacturing processes
Lead, mentor, and support supervisors and production teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment
Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to align manufacturing activities with project requirements
7–10+ years of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment
- Strong familiarity with metal fabrication, welding, and related manufacturing processes
- Proven experience managing plant operations and leading production teams
- Experience leading teams with accountability for operational performance metrics and budget management
- Experience implementing operational improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to balance day-to-day operational demands with long-term operational improvements
- Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing, or operations management is considered an asset
