As a Shipper , you are the final point of contact before our products reach our global customers. You will be responsible for the secure packaging, accurate documentation, and efficient loading of equipment ranging from precision components to large-scale automated machinery. Pick, palletize, crate, and securely package products, including custom bracing for large machinery to ensure stability during transport.
Load trucks and trailers using forklifts and other material-handling equipment, ensuring weight distribution is safe and secure.
Prepare accurate shipping documents, including BOLs (Bills of Lading), customs paperwork for international orders, and packing slips.
Use inventory software and freight carrier portals to schedule pickups and track outgoing shipments.
Maintain an organized and clean shipping bay and outdoor loading yard.
Follow all LJ Welding safety procedures, specifically regarding heavy lifting and securement of industrial loads.

Prior experience in industrial shipping or outbound logistics within a manufacturing environment.
Valid forklift certification and experience handling over-sized or heavy loads.
Proficiency with freight carrier online systems and ERP systems.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive bending, kneeling, and stretching in both indoor and outdoor settings.
High accuracy in checking part numbers and quantities against shipping manifests.

Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with drivers and internal production teams.
Someone who identifies ways to improve packaging efficiency or reduce shipping transit risks.
A commitment to safety, quality, and a positive, collaborative attitude.
