The Civil Pipelayer – storm, sanitary and water, is responsible for the installation of underground utility systems, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and watermain infrastructure. The role requires precision, teamwork, and a strong understanding of civil construction practices. Experience working with deep utilities is considered a strong asset. Install storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and watermain systems in accordance with drawings and specifications
Lay pipe, fittings, valves, and services to proper line and grade
Work safely in and around excavations, including shoring systems and trench boxes
Assist with pipe laser setup and grade checking
Ensure installations meet municipal and project quality standards
Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety plans
3+ years of experience as a Civil Pipe layer
- Strong experience with storm, sanitary, and watermain installation
- Ability to read and understand civil construction drawings
- Knowledge of pipe materials (PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, concrete)
- Experience working with deep utilities (bonus)
- Physically capable of working in a demanding construction environment
36-50 per hour based on experience
