As a key member of the Finance department, and reporting to the accounting manager, the General Accountant will be responsible for recording financial transactions, ensuring compliance and analyzing internal operating results, preparing and supporting month-end, quarterly and year-end information and reports, as well as maintaining internal controls.
Responsible for performing daily accounting tasks, reconciling general ledger accounts including month-end journal entries, and conducting variance analysis
Maintain Fixed Asset module
Maintain and forecast fixed asset continuity schedule and depreciation
Maintain lease accounting module
Assist monthly accounting package
Communicating with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
2-3 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience with SAP considered an asset
- Sense of initiative and accountability, and able to work with minimal supervision
