Warehouse support/ Driver

Position Title: Palletizer Support

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

McCain Foods (Canada) currently has an immediate opening for mechanically inclined team player with an interest in our palletizing operations. Palletizer Support is responsible for ensuring that the finished products are properly palletized and stacked by operating the palletizing conveyer equipment, inventory coding equipment, stretch wrap equipment, and forklift. Palletizer Support is also responsible for ensuring inventory of palletized product is accurate and organized; while taking direction and providing support to the Palletizer Operator. Implement Lean Manufacturing practices relative to Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.

On-site Requirement - Must perform duties onsite.

Operate automatic palletizer and wrapper by monitoring product flow, assuring pallet patterns are being followed, segregates product, supplies pallets to machine, and helps pull product off-line.

Operate forklift in accordance with company policy.

Operate Laser Guided Vehicles in accordance with company policy.

Operate computer to perform inventory transactions.

Perform minor maintenance on palletizer, and assist maintenance team and Palletizer Operator when performing scheduled repairs during shut down of system.

Perform transactions to relieve inventory of rework product.

Receive production into Warehouse Management System (WMS) tracking day codes, time product was produced, amounts and product status.

Use lift truck to move product to stretch wrap machine when automatic lift truck is not working.

Use handheld computer to scan product bar codes to identify product and attaches all information to pallet ID bar code.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of or be capable of learning touch screen computer systems, Infinity Database software, AS400, and WMS.

Must have or be willing to certify in McCain Forklift certification.

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Mechanical aptitude for performing minor maintenance and calibration tasks on palletizer equipment.
