Hays: Architectural Technologist

Your new company Hays Construction & Development is once again partnered with our long-term client, who is a recognized brand in the Ottawa area. They are a small, stable, and growing residential tract home builder in Ottawa that has been in business for many, many years. The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality homes with a touch of customization for their purchasers. In your new role as an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for taking changes from purchasers and making adjustments to existing drawings using AutoCAD. Your day-to-day role will include such duties as adjusting and updating architectural drawings based on purchaser requests using AutoCAD. You will ensure all changes comply with building codes and company standards.
You will regularly collaborate with the VP of Construction and other team members to ensure seamless project execution as well as communicate effectively with colleagues, including the Design Centre, to understand the client's customization needs and limitations.

To be considered for this very important role, you must have at least 5 or more years of experience in a similar role, residential construction, as an Architectural Technologist. A must-have requirement is a BCIN certification and strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
