Working on commercial and industrial projects in a laboratory environment.
Performing laboratory testing of soil including moisture content, proctor, hydrometer, Atterberg limits, sieves and aggregates as per CSA A23.Assisting in providing quality control and quality assurance on a variety of laboratory projects.
Assisting in preparation of laboratory programs and test reports.
The successful candidate will be trained and certified for aggregate and concrete laboratory testing as per CCIL requirements.
Diploma from a technical institute in Civil Engineering/Civil Technology, or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience working in engineering consulting would be considered an asset.
Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and must provide current drivers abstract when applying preference will be given to candidates with a clean driving record.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to properly document sampling and testing information in an accurate and timely fashion.
Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the Practice by being a team player.
Be physically capable of performing the manual labour duties required.
Overtime is calculated at 1.5 times.
