Fleet Coordinator (Supply Chain)

Sylvite’s Transportation and Logistics division is expanding, and we are looking for a dynamic Fleet Supervisor to oversee fleet operations across North America. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on planning, organizing, and coaching teams to deliver results safely and efficiently.

About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on planning, organizing, and coaching teams while ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. You’ll play a key part in maintaining our asset base, supporting operational growth, and fostering a positive team environment.
What You’ll Do
Oversee day-to-day fleet operations, safety, compliance, and maintenance programs.
Develop and monitor maintenance schedules to maximize equipment performance and lifespan.
Collaborate with operations managers to assess fleet usage, report on asset condition, and plan for future requirements.
Lead, coach, and mentor staff, fostering a safe, productive, and cooperative work environment.
Work with Human Resources to recruit, retain, and develop mechanical staff.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with suppliers.
Stay connected to industry trends by participating in professional associations and attending conferences.
About You
You’re a proactive leader with a strong operational mindset. Your background and skills include:
- 5–8 years in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and manage teams effectively.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and business acumen.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of contracts, specifications, and asset management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
