FULL TIME: Maintenance Technician / Welding

Schedule: Full-time hours (40h/week) - Rotating shifts from Monday to Friday every two weeks - (7:30 am to 3:30 PM / 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm / 11:30 pm to 7:30 am)

Works according to the plant Health and Safety policies. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance to identify and replace failed components such as bearings, belts, motors, etc.

• Can read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Calibrations and adjustments on various types of devices and production control systems.
• Understands facilities, mechanical/electrical systems and their component functions and relationships; Assist other maintenance and production team members as required in support of plant goals.
• Industrial Mechanic Millwright STO certification or 433A Certificate of Qualification

Minimum three years of experience in an industrial maintenance capacity in a production setting.
Demonstrated proficiency or documented certifications in the following skills: electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting/programming, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyors, hydraulics, and pumps.
Installation, troubleshooting, repair knowledge of electrical systems including 600v and below
Demonstrated proficiency or documented certifications for diagnosing & troubleshooting controls systems and devices
Able to interface and cooperate well with production line workers and supervisors, with a strong customer service mindset.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Basic math, reading, and computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook)
Ability to operate cranes, forklift, and other related equipment
An ability to work solo as the sole mechanic on shift would be a great asset.
Strong fabrication skills, including MIG welding, to build or modify existing machinery.
Time management skillset to prioritize urgent repairs over scheduled repairs.
