Cashier/Barista
Agora Greek Market is looking for a new part time cashier to join our team for the upcoming summer season!
MUST BE AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS
Location: 921 Queen St. West - Directly across from Trinity Bellwoods Park
Compensation: $20 an hour + weekly tip out
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
Help coordinate production as it relates to restaurant functions
Greet customers, answer menu questions etc.
Prepare and package orders for take-out and delivery
Manage orders coming in through Uber and Ritual
Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefings
Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
Follow all policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Schedule Mornings, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous cashier and customer service experience required
Must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
