• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Supervision Ability: 3-4 people

• Personal Suitability:
• Read specifications and determine the appropriate materials, colours, and finishes for painting projects
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and holes, and removing old paint
Mix and match paint, stains, and other coatings to achieve the required colour and consistency
Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting equipment
Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, siding, and other interior and exterior surfaces
Protect furniture, floors, windows, and other surfaces from paint and damage
Use ladders, scaffolding, and swing stages safely when working at heights
Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas
Work independently and as part of a team on residential and commercial construction sites
Supervise a small team of painters as needed
Work may take place on residential and commercial sites
