Law Clerk / Paralegal - Legal and Compliance

Our client, a trusted name in freight brokerage and logistics, delivers efficient and compliant transportation solutions across North America. They are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support their in-house counsel with a variety of legal, compliance, and administrative tasks related to logistics, transportation, and customs.
The Paralegal will work directly under the company’s lawyer, providing vital support in managing legal documentation, compliance matters, contract administration, and regulatory research. Assist the lawyer in preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
Conduct legal research on transportation, logistics, and customs-related matters.
Maintain and organize case files, compliance records, and document management systems.
Coordinate with clients and internal departments to gather necessary information for legal and compliance purposes.
Manage deadlines, schedules, and follow-ups to ensure timely completion of legal tasks.
Assist in the drafting of standard agreements, policies, and internal legal templates.
Support communication with external legal partners, regulators, and clients as needed.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, Legal Secretary, or in a similar legal support role.
Strong command of the English language (both written and oral) — excellent grammar, clarity, and precision are essential.
Experience with US law a plus
Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation standards.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal research tools.
A background in transportation or customs law is a strong asset, as is a commitment to supporting the legal and operational excellence of our client , a leading name in freight brokerage and logistics.
