he Hotel Arts Group is currently looking for a Cook 1for SAIT Begin Dining Centre. We are looking for someone who will consistently provide quality and production for 200+ students and faculty daily in an organized and effective manner. This cook will primarily be working alongside the Dining Hall Chef to provide excellent culinary service to students and faculty in the SAIT Begin Dining Hall. High level of interest with food and have a keen interest in the culinary arts
Ability to maintain food quality and presentation standards within a consistency based framework
Will ensure all menu items are prepared efficiently to standard and to customer requirements
Will ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of all food product
Will ensure all appropriate provincial health regulations and food handling techniques
Is aware of food cost, portion, and waste controls
A journeyman or working toward Red Seal certification
- Culinary educational background an asset
- Flexible weekly schedule/availability
