As the Manager of Workforce Development you can make a significant impact by leading our comprehensive employment programs across Alberta. As the Manager, you will play a key role in not only maintaining our high standards of service but also driving the expansion of our programming across Western Canada over the next five years. This position offers the opportunity to enhance workforce development initiatives and contribute to the economic growth of the communities we serve.

As the Manager of Workforce Development, you will have the following responsibilities:

Travel is required within this role as we have offices in Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Whitecourt, Grande Prairie, and High Level.

Support hiring processes, performance development, and organizational innovation to ensure the team has the necessary tools and skills to achieve their objectives.

Proactively seek opportunities for professional development and growth, both for oneself and for team members, to enhance overall effectiveness and performance.

Contract Actualization

Oversee the successful implementation and execution of all training programs throughout Ballad

Ensure adherence to contract guidelines and project scope, while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.

Accountable for maximizing contract deliverables, ensuring adherence to month-end, quarterly, and year-end reports, and managing monthly invoicing to meet financial targets.

Contract Management

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our external clients ensuring open communication and alignment with contract guidelines and expectations.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Commerce, Business Administration, Human Resources, Adult Education or related) required.

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in workforce development, post-secondary education or related field, with demonstrated success in leadership and management roles.

Strong understanding of contract management and compliance, with experience in managing complex projects and multiple stakeholders.

Proficiency in resource management, including budgeting, personnel management, and project planning.
