Tax Law Clerk Legal Assistant

Become a vital part of Fasken's Tax group as a Legal Assistant, where your organizational skills will shine in a collaborative environment. Enhance case management with your legal expertise.

We are looking for a diligent candidate with 3+ years of experience in tax litigation to manage administrative operations and assist with legal documentation. Your role will involve preparing and proofreading essential court materials and monitoring deadlines while supporting a diverse team. Expect a supportive workplace that values diversity and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee administrative functions including calendars and mail
Prepare litigation materials and court documents
Monitor deadlines and organize reminders for the team
Coordinate with Billing Coordinators for monthly accounts
Provide backup coverage for assistant responsibilities

Requirements:

Legal Assistant or Law Clerk educational background
3+ years of relevant legal experience
Familiarity with Canada Revenue Agency processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 needed
Experience with Elite 3E and iManage Work is beneficial
