Our mission is to empower children and youth with disabilities to reach their full potential through tailored educational programs and compassionate teaching. We are currently accepting applications for a permanent part-time (0.2 FTE) Registered or Provisional Psychologist to join our team immediately to support the various programs in our agency. Please note the annual schedule is 10.25 months ending June 30, 2026 this school year. Competitive salary and benefits package, including RRSP matching.

Enable and support learning for the youth and child and family members in the school, home and community.
Supporting parents through parenting concerns and challenges, offering resources and strategies from a trauma-informed and strength-based perspective, and focused on parenting skills, decreasing risk factors, increasing protective factors and functional capacity.
Service planning and goal setting.
Client advocacy and follow-up services with other organizations/health care providers.
Consult with funders, partners in the community (as needed).
Utilized mindfulness-based, present-moment awareness techniques to support children and youth in exploring emotions and behavioral patterns in a calm inner experience.
Integrate body-centered approaches by observing and working with physical sensations and nonverbal cues in therapy.
Support children and youth in identifying and understanding unconscious patterns shaped by past experiences, particularly in trauma-informed contexts.
Adapt Hakomi interventions to meet the developmental needs of children and youth.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to incorporate Hakomi strategies into treatment planning.
Master’s degree in Psychology; current registration and good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Familiarity with the Canadian Code of Ethics for Psychologists, Code of Professional Con duct, Principles for Psychological Testing, Family Enhancement Act, Mental Health Act, Persons with Disabilities Act.
Experience in counselling with children and youth with special needs and their families.
Experience with assessment, intervention and counseling in numerous areas (psychoeducational, social/emotional, behavioral, Autism, FASD, Learning Disabilities etc.).
Experience working in community health or Primary Care Network considered an asset.
A reliable vehicle, auto insurance with a minimum $2,000,000.00 liability and driver’s license is required.
Pre-Requisite Security Clearance Documentation
~ Intervention Record Check through Alberta Child Services’ is also required, however, we can support you with completing this during your onboarding.
