Every person in our community has the right to safe, affordable, quality housing and to live with dignity and as much independence and choice as possible.
Our Nicole's Choice program embodies this ideal by providing stable, independent housing, with regular supports, for a vibrant community of women experiencing or at risk of homelessness while struggling with mental health or addictions concerns. In our Holly's House program, we provide support to individuals who self-identify as women and who access My Sister's Place where we offer interventions and services that are consistent with a trauma and violence informed, gender specific and harm reduction model of care that meets individuals where they are at.
Please know that at this time we are currently looking for individuals with broad availability 7 days a week, and who are available for all shift coverage which includes evenings and weekends. Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 3 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.

14per hour (Level 1 – Direct Service), with a wage differential, based on regulation ($30.01per hour for Level 1 – Direct Service, Regulated):
Successful external applicants will start at Level 1, with grid progression based on seniority up to Level 8 ($34.41 per hour for non-regulated, and $37.26 per hour for regulated)
When you'll work -Relief shifts will be offered during daytime, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. Relief staff will commit to accepting a minimum of four shifts per month.

Work with clients and help motivate/support them to work towards achievement of their goals
Champion each client’s capacity for community living
Assist clients to maintain suitable housing
Facilitate and implement resident meetings
Provide health teaching about addiction, mental illness and symptom management
Assist and coach clients in the learning and management/achievement of activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, daily chores, budgeting, socialization etc.
Advocate for and support clients in accessing community resources
Identify, promote resolution, and management of all emergency situations concerning participants, staff, and property

Completed University/college degree or diploma in social science, or a related field (primary proof of credentials will be required during the hiring process i.e. original degree/diploma or official transcript)
Experience working in the addiction and mental health field
Knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Health and safety knowledge; knowledge of safe food handling procedures
Applied Suicide Interventions Skills and Training (ASIST)
First Aid & CPR
