Wolfe Automotive Group, a prominent and rapidly growing automotive company based in Edmonton, Calgary and Canmore Alberta, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This critical role demands an individual with a strong background in payroll management, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
Payroll Administration

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processes for multiple rooftop entities within Wolfe Automotive Group.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including salaries, wages, bonuses, and other compensation components.
• Stay abreast of federal and provincial payroll regulations and employment standards in Alberta.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, pension plans, and other statutory requirements.
• Address any payroll-related audits and inquiries.

Lead the implementation and optimization of payroll software and systems.
· Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to payroll systems.
Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing guidance on complex payroll matters.
· Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
Generate and analyze payroll reports to ensure accuracy and identify trends.
· Prepare and present regular payroll-related reports to senior management.
Manage relationships with payroll service providers and other related vendors.
· Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency.
• Implement best practices to streamline payroll operations.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
· Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation is highly desirable.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in payroll management, preferably within the automotive industry.
In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, particularly in Alberta.
Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Proven experience managing and developing a high-performing payroll team.
• Ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
