Guided by our core values of care, trust, and respect, we ensure every resident can age with dignity and joy. We’re looking for a First Cook to join our Riverbend team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will prepare high-quality meals efficiently and safely in a fast-paced kitchen, collaborate with team members, and supervise staff under the direction of the Head Chef.
Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef and supervise kitchen staff.
Maintain food inventory and order supplies when needed.
Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food storage meet regulatory standards.
Support the Head Chef with scheduling and menu planning.
Formal training in a culinary program or equivalent experience and knowledge.
Five (5) years of experience as a cook.
Two (2) years of experience in food cost management, labor management, planning and execution of food services and special events.
Experience cooking for seniors as an asset.
Knowledge of safety, sanitation, WHMIS, Food Safety Course.
