Business Analyst - Support H/F

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the strategic and operational initiatives of Data Centre Operations. This role focuses on the intersection of technical infrastructure and business planning, requiring a candidate who can develop high-quality technical policies, standard operating procedures, and business cases. You will be instrumental in leading annual planning activities, training programs, and branch-wide communication strategies while ensuring all IT solutions align with public sector compliance and standards.
Drive the operational standards for the foundational data centre infrastructure that powers public services.

• High-Level Visibility: Take a leadership role in branch-wide training and annual planning, interacting directly with senior leadership.
• Technical Growth: Deepen your expertise in hosting services, cloud infrastructure topologies, and data centre performance metrics.

Strategic Planning: Lead and support annual planning activities, developing program guidance, and creating robust business cases to support data centre service delivery.

• Contribute to technical policies, standards, and performance criteria; Analysis & Reporting: Produce executive-ready materials, including user stories, audit responses, and real-time dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Facilitate detailed solution design sessions and negotiate with business stakeholders to resolve functional design issues.
• Project Management Support: Deliver accurate project status reports, meticulously tracking finances, resources, milestones, risks, and issues.
• Communications & Training: Develop and lead branch-level communication plans and learning strategies to ensure organizational alignment and staff proficiency.

Business Analysis Mastery: 5+ years of experience as a BA, specifically supporting data centre operations, hosting services, or comparable large-scale platforms.

• Technical Policy Expertise: Proven track record in developing technical guidelines, tools, and performance criteria for IT infrastructure.
• Public Sector Background: At least 2+ years of experience within the Ontario Public Sector (OPS) or similar government environments, including familiarity with provincial gating and compliance standards.
• experience drafting "executive-ready" communications and briefing notes.
• Experience creating automated dashboards and utilizing project tracking software to manage complex finances and resources.
