High School Math & Science Tutor Wanted
Love Calculus and science? Eager to help High School students succeed in math, physics, chemistry and/or biology?
Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Richmond Hill - Oak Ridges is currently seeking part-time tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.
All Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours: Mon - Fri 4:00pm - 8:00pm, with some Saturdays 10:30am - 2:30pm.
This is not an online position. No relocation packages are available.
Education :
University students with excellent knowledge of the current Grades 11-12 math curriculum, but not limited to Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry and Calculus, and vectors.
Teaching certification an asset
Some experience teaching/tutoring math at Grades 11 and 12
Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
Helping High School students with their math School work
Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem. The rewards of helping children overcome academic hurdles and realize their inner potential can be very fulfilling.
