Air Conditioning Technician

Are you a skilled Refrigeration B Technician with a passion for the food industry? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join a leading food solutions company. As a Refrigeration B Technician, your expertise will be vital for the operation and maintenance of a complex industrial ammonia refrigeration system, ensuring all safety and regulatory standards are met. The Refrigeration B Technician will also be involved in troubleshooting breakdowns, coordinating with external contractors, and tracking building and equipment repairs to optimize performance.

Shift: Nights Sunday to Thursday 11pm to 7am

Coordinate the operation of building systems, including heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning.

• Operate and monitor an industrial ammonia refrigeration system, ensuring compliance with all standard operating procedures and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and complete daily refrigeration system readings and logbook records.
• Install, maintain, and repair all mechanical and electrical systems and machinery at the plant.
• Provide technical support for production by troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Work with outside contractors and inspectors as required.
• Enforce established safety, health, contamination, and housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Track building and equipment repairs and complete maintenance reports and logs.
• A valid Refrigeration B license and a Millwright license are mandatory for this position.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial mechanical role, with a strong preference for candidates from the food industry.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques (ARC, TIG, MIG) and machine shop practices.
• Proven knowledge of health & safety and food safety protocols (e.g., Strong commitment to working in a safe manner and enforcing all company policies and procedures.
