John's, NL office is looking for a Junior Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to join our team!
In this role, you'll partner closely with the Payroll & Benefits Administrators to help deliver accurate and timely weekly and bi-weekly payroll. You'll play a key part in supporting timesheet processing, government remittances, year-end activities, and benefits administration - helping keep everything running smoothly.
Assist with payroll processing for 2 weekly and 2 biweekly payrolls, government remittances, RRSP remittances, monthly/quarterly and year end processes.
Assist employees with SAP timesheet entry, updates and inquires.
Updating employee changes and new hires to the payroll system and online benefit programs.
Monthly reconciliations for HAPSET, Group Insurance, union dues and parking remittances.
Work closely with the HR and Finance/Cost teams to provide support for adherence to Company Policies and Procedure, collective agreement and offshore standards.
Other duties as required by Payroll & Benefits Administrator or Department Manager.
Diploma or degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance, or a combination of education and related experience
- 1-5 years' experience in a payroll administration role.
- Completion of, or significant completion of, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification.
- Knowledge of NL & AB Employment Standards, Pension, Benefits, WHSCC and HAPSET.
- Experience completing Salaried, Hourly and Union Payrolls for larger organizations.
- Working knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow and SAP is considered an asset
