Grill cook for food truck

Job Responsibility:
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team at Taylight Brewing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food quality.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Understanding of food safety practices, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
Valid Food Safe Level 1 or equivalent is required.
Availability required: Wednesday and Weekends (Friday-Sunday).
