Maintenance Technician (Electromechanical) – Airport Systems
We are hiring a Maintenance Technician (Electromechanical) to support a highly automated baggage handling system within an airport environment. This opportunity is ideal for mechanically inclined technicians with electrical aptitude who are looking to grow within automation and airport systems.
- ##Downtown Toronto (Billy Bishop Airport)
- ##Straight Day Shift: 5:30 AM start 10-hour shifts
Must be able to work every other weekend
Straight day shift with consistent hours
Strong opportunity for technical growth and skill development
Stable, long-term opportunity in a critical infrastructure setting
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on baggage handling and conveyor systems
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on motors, gearboxes, belts, rollers, and bearings
Support PLC and drive troubleshooting, including program reloads as needed
Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Collaborate with operations and automation teams to support system performance
Complete maintenance logs and work orders using a CMMS system
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Post-secondary education in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, or related field
1+ year of relevant experience in maintenance or automation
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with basic electrical knowledge
Exposure to conveyors, automation systems, or PLCs is an asset
Solid problem-solving ability with a hands-on, analytical approach
Proficient with basic computer systems (MS Office / CMMS)
