Senior Software Engineer (Frontend Engineer)

We are looking for a highly skilled Front End Software Developer to design, develop, and implement modern, attractive, and effective user interfaces. This role focuses on translating complex technical specifications into high-performance web applications using the React ecosystem and Next.js. You will be a key contributor in an Agile environment, leveraging Jamstack architecture and Headless CMS solutions to deliver large-scale, responsive, and accessible web interfaces.

• Develop user-facing features for large-scale websites that impact thousands of users.
• Work alongside diverse IT professionals in a structured Agile framework that values innovation and clean code.

Design and develop front-end code, focusing on interactive user elements, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Build robust applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js to ensure fast page loads and optimized performance.
• Apply working knowledge of Jamstack architecture and integrate with Headless Content Management Systems.
• Build and test RESTful APIs and integrate front-end functionality with IAA systems such as Azure AD B2C or Okta Authentication.
• Create essential user journey functionality, including login pages, profile creation, customer notifications, and self-service sign-up modules.
• Conduct unit testing, front-end debugging, and page load optimization to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, managing tasks via Kanban boards and integrating code through modern CI/CD pipelines in Azure.

Advanced experience with React framework, TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.

• Expert-level knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, and modern CSS Frameworks (e.g., Proven experience with Jamstack and Progressive Web Apps (PWA).
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms and version control (Git).
• Solid experience building, testing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and WCAG standards.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues during implementation or migration.
